Over the last 9 years, I have reached many breaking points, then there is another outrage and another. Except for the first few months of 2009, I can't even catch my breath. If American culture has annoited Fox News as the network of truth, we are truly doomed as a country. I am actively looking for an alternative country to settle into, but Maine is such a great place to live. Maybe it's time to revive communal living ala the FLDS folk in Utah, only without the plurality... and add lots more fun. Too bad it's so dang cold up here in the winter.

New Zealand looks/sounds great but what are the political ramifications for US ex-pats? I am going to look it up and get back to you later, ala Mooselini... except I'll actually do it.

ReplyDeleteBut you have a nice fireplace, right?
ReplyDeleteCommunal living should also mitigate the cold somewhat.
I'm just speculating, of course.
I hear New Zealand is quite nice. Marja at Dutch Corner has some very pretty pictures.

N.Z. could be a destination! Good climate, jobs to be had and a fairly tolerant culture. I'm game... saddle up!
