Conservatives (with Big Dog help) broke the middle class with NAFTA, deregulation, tax breaks for offshoring jobs, union busting, etc. etc. ad nauseum - now you own it - and you have to pay for it.
Bring back manufacturing and Labor or see all the above as the major source of revenue for what used to be the middle class for the foreseeable future.
