Jimi was such a kind soul. What I would consider an "old soul" and at the same time projects the innocence of a young child (as we all strive toward in the Tao).
He knew he was in the difference zone, or blatently "hippified" on a fairly mainstream show. He obviously is not an orator from the chair but once he picks up that guitar...
Jimi was my hero as a teen growing up in the late sixties and early 70's - much to the chagrin of most of my peers who, while pretty hip, thought Jimi was over the top. Black lights, screaming guitar, big bongs, real acid... it's a wonder we survived. Some of us didn't, but I still like those times better than these. At least the corporations didn't run things.
